Since I began practicing Reiki about ten years ago, the importance of open communication has become clear to me during every session. Having received treatments from various complementary medicine modalities over the years, I have developed a clear understanding of what I needed as a patient—and, consequently, of what I now aim to offer as a practitioner.
My approach is both structured and deeply intuitive.
We always begin with a detailed medical history. This is partly a precaution, but also to ensure a clear record of progress from one session to the next. It’s important to me to be able to work with you over time to observe the tangible improvements that treatment brings to your quality of life. During this consultation, we’ll discuss your medical history as well as your overall health. Do you sleep well? Do you have nightmares? Is your bowel movement regular? How do you manage your stress? All these questions are important. And yes, some may seem surprising when you’re simply coming in for “a massage.” Yet they all serve a purpose. This is precisely where the holistic dimension of my approach lies.
“Often, when I ask a new client, ‘Why are you here today? What do you need?’”
The answer is almost always, “I need to relax.”
But what I’m really trying to understand is: what do you need to relax?
What is the source of this stress? Where is the pain located? How long has it been there? Because pain on the left doesn’t necessarily have the same cause as pain on the right.
Our bodies are constantly communicating with us. Yet, in a world where we’re constantly connected to everything around us, we sometimes forget to connect with ourselves. Between the pressure to perform, a sedentary lifestyle, overindulgence, restrictions, and all kinds of demands, we rarely take the time to stop and ask ourselves, “What is my body trying to tell me?”
Every person is unique. And it is that uniqueness that I explore.
When you come to my practice for a treatment, you’ll be welcomed into a nurturing environment where you’ll be seen, heard, and touched without judgment—with gentleness, respect, and mindfulness.
My hope is that you’ll leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and more at peace. Rejuvenated. Relieved.
Depending on your situation, a personalized aromatherapy blend is created on the spot to best meet your needs.
The carrier oil I use is jojoba oil, chosen because its composition most closely resembles human sebum. It costs about 15 CHF more per liter than grapeseed oil, which is often used in massage therapy.
Shea butter is also incorporated into certain treatments, particularly for deep tissue massage. As for essential oils, they are carefully selected and certified organic. For mature skin as well as for facial treatments, I have chosen rosehip oil. Quite simply because, in my experience, it is the best.
I don't know about you, but when I pay for a service, I expect to get the very best. That's exactly what I want to offer in return!
Perhaps the difference between jojoba and grape seed isn’t immediately apparent. Perhaps the difference between organic and non-organic isn’t always noticeable, but I know it. And that’s enough for me to guide every decision I make in my practice.
